We built DocChangify with privacy as its foundation, not an afterthought. Here is a complete and honest account of what we do — and do not — collect.

1. Who We Are
DocChangify ("we," "us," or "our") is an independently operated web application providing browser-based file conversion and utility tools. DocChangify is not affiliated with any corporation, institution, or government entity. This Privacy Policy governs your use of the DocChangify website accessible at its published URL and all subdirectories thereof.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
DocChangify does not collect, upload, process, store, or transmit the following:
- Files uploaded or dragged into any tool on this website
- Output files generated by any tool
- Text entered into text-based tools (e.g., Word Counter, Text Case Converter)
- Personal identifiers such as name, email address, IP address, or device fingerprint
- Behavioral analytics, heatmaps, or session recordings
- Browser history or data from any other website you visit
3. How File Processing Works
All file processing on DocChangify is performed exclusively using client-side JavaScript running in your web browser. This means:
- Files are loaded into your browser's temporary memory (RAM) only.
- All processing (conversion, extraction, compression, merging) happens on your device using open-source JavaScript libraries (PDF.js, pdf-lib).
- No network request is made to any DocChangify server or third-party server involving your file data.
- File data is permanently cleared from memory when you close the browser tab or click Reset.
We have no technical ability whatsoever to access, view, intercept, or store any file, image, document, or text you process using our tools.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
DocChangify uses browser localStorage solely for the following operational purpose:
- Theme preference (light or dark mode) — stored locally on your device, never transmitted to us.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, third-party analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics), or session-identification cookies. You may clear this data at any time through your browser settings without affecting the core functionality of the website.
5. Third-Party Libraries
DocChangify loads the following third-party resources via Content Delivery Networks (CDNs). By visiting our website, your browser may make network requests to these CDN providers to load these libraries. This is standard web practice and these libraries do not receive your file data:

6. Information You Voluntarily Provide
If you contact us by email (e.g., for support or feedback), we will receive information you choose to share in that email — such as your name and email address. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and will not be disclosed to third parties or used for marketing purposes. We will retain correspondence only for as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry.
7. Children's Privacy
DocChangify does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age threshold in your jurisdiction). Since we do not collect personal data from any user, this restriction is inherently satisfied. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us via email, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights
Because DocChangify does not collect personal data, most data subject rights (access, erasure, portability) do not apply in a traditional sense. However:
- You may clear any locally stored theme preferences at any time through your browser's developer tools or settings.
- If you have sent us an email and wish to have your correspondence deleted, please request this at support@docchangify.app.
